Release date and platforms
The game releases August 13, 2026 across PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. No specific launch time has been announced. You can buy it through Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox Store. Xbox Game Pass, PS Plus, and Nintendo Switch Online availability have not been announced. There is no Nintendo Switch version planned.
What is Duskfade?
Duskfade is a 3D action-adventure fantasy platformer developed by Weird Beluga Studio and published by Fireshine Games. It's built around time manipulation — a mysterious Clock Tower has cast the land into eternal darkness, and it's up to sword-wielding protagonist Zirian to restore the fabric of time and rescue his sister from whatever has taken hold.
Story
Zirian is accompanied by a mechanical companion named Cuckoo as he fights through a world frozen in shadow. The Clock Tower serves as the game's central mystery and threat. Beyond the sibling rescue at its core, the story specifics are still being rolled out ahead of the August launch.
Gameplay
Players jump, swing, and slash through a fantasy world that bends under Zirian's time-manipulation abilities. The platforming and combat are designed around this mechanic — moments of precision jumping and sword combat intertwine with time-based puzzle elements. A Steam demo has been available since the Tokyo Game Show reveal in September 2025, giving players a real hands-on feel for how the systems work together.
Is Duskfade on Game Pass or PS Plus?
Neither has been announced. Xbox Game Pass, PS Plus, and Nintendo Switch Online availability are all unconfirmed as of this writing.
