Aniimo just passed 10 million global pre-registrations, opened its global closed beta, and confirmed a Q3 2026 launch. It is free to play on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and mobile.

Aniimo is an open-world creature-collecting action RPG. You explore a huge land called Idyll, catch magical creatures (also called Aniimo), and fight alongside them. Developer Pawprint Studio publishes it through Kingsglory Games, a label under FunPlus. If "Pokemon, but open-world and free" is the pitch in your head, you are close. The headline mechanic is "Twining." You do not just send creatures into battle. You merge with them and take their form, then move and fight as that creature. It is the thing every hands-on preview keeps calling out, and it is what sets Aniimo apart from a straight Pokemon clone.

Those milestones unlock rewards for everyone who signs up: in-game currency at 10 million, gear at 15 million, a limited avatar frame at 20 million, and a limited outfit at 30 million. Signing up is free, so the floor keeps rising fast.

The global closed beta opened around June 7 and runs on PC and mobile this summer. It is not the first test. An earlier "Paws Up" closed beta ran back in January 2026. This new round adds a fresh water-themed zone, the Island of Peace, plus new creatures to catch.
